Li e reli a estrofe diversas vezes. Só ela me interessava.
This project was created during LAB Foto Contemporânea 2021. We were inspired by Manoel de Barros’ poems. When I read one stanza from “A VOZ DO MEU PAI”, I was hypnotized. There was a spark. I read and reread the stanza several times. I was only interested in that stanza. Permeated by it, I started searching my collection to see which of my photos transmitted what I was feeling. They were introducing themselves, showing themselves to me. Before all that, I watched a painter friend who tapes her canvases to the wall with masking tape and I wanted to do something similar. In discussions of how to let poetry permeate us, I understood that the canvas would help me with this. Okay, let's get to work. I prepared a background with the canvas and the masking tape, and went back to the first edition of the photos. Take one, put another, one asks to be with that other one and there is the one who doesn't want to be together with the other one. A while later, I had the photos, the ones that would be in groups, the ones that would be by themselves, the excerpts of the stanza that I wanted to insert and I started composing the book. I presented it at the LAB where it was well received and the idea of transferring the photos to the canvas instead of printing on them came up. This provocation came on the one hand because it would be more tangible to have a canvas in hand than a printed paper, and on the other hand, because I love a challenge. It was a lot of work! Much more than I imagined! I made eight books that, due to the technique, are unique, since the  transference is an uncontrolled process.I finish this project happy with the result and reaffirm that... I am simple.
